About Me
Stephanie Ganoe,
NCC, LMHC
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH21387) and National Certified Counselor with a private practice located in St. Petersburg, Florida. I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus in trauma work from Marquette University and my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University.
Prior to moving into private practice, I was a trauma therapist working with survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and human trafficking at non-profit community agencies in both Florida and Wisconsin. I specialize in working with adults from various backgrounds to overcome trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, stress, and relationship issues.
When we work together, I will hold space for you to open up without judgment. I utilize a trauma informed approach and draw from various evidence-based practices to create a safe, inclusive, and individualized atmosphere to assist you in meeting your specific goals. We will collaborate to create a wellness plan to meet your unique needs, as no two people are the same. I build on the strengths and resiliency you already possess to empower and support you throughout the therapeutic process. I specialize in working with trauma/abuse survivors, anxiety, mood/emotion dysregulation, depression, and relationship/social difficulties.
I grew up in a small town in the Midwest where I pretended to be a therapist at recess with my friends lining up at the swing set to confide their problems to me. I have had personal experiences throughout my life that have always solidified that this is the career path that I was meant to be on. Now I get to live out my dream of helping others every day (I still have to pinch myself)! I truly hope to be part of your healing and growing journey!
