Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?

It’s so simple!

To get started, simply reach out via email or phone (call or text). From there, we will schedule a 15 minute FREE phone consultation to ensure I am the right fit to meet your needs. Should you like to move forward I will walk you through the scheduling and billing process.

How much does therapy cost?

I accept Aetna, Cigna, Oxford, Oscar Health, and United Healthcare insurance plans. I charge a cash pay rate of $125 for a 53 minute session for those that do not utilize insurance. For out of network plans, I can provide you with a statement at the end of each month that you can submit to your insurance company (please check with your provider regarding out of network policy).

Is therapy right for me?

Therapy is beneficial for everyone!

Therapy is meant to be a safe place to explore your thoughts, feelings, and worries without any shame or judgment. The choice to seek out therapy is very personal, vulnerable, brave, and maybe even scary (but hopefully also exciting). Sometimes individuals seek out therapy to work through long standing mental health struggles such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, or mood disorders. Other times individuals seek out therapy as a way to develop or strengthen strategies for personal growth. Therapy is also useful during time of significant stress such as relationship changes, loss of a loved one, career changes, or recent trauma. Therapy is useful for everyone and anyone who has a goal to learn about themselves and make changes to improve their overall wellbeing.

What do you specialize in?

I specialize in working with adults struggling with impacts of trauma/abuse, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, stress management, and relationship issues.

When is therapy over?

The goal of therapy is for it to eventually end!

I believe in empowering my clients with the various skills they need to take on any life challenges that they may encounter as well as renew their sense of resiliency. Therapy does not end when everything in your life is perfect (then it never would). Instead, therapy is completed when you feel equipped with the resiliency and skills to conquer the challenges life may throw your way.

What if I have to cancel?

There is a fee associated with cancellation if not completed 24 hours prior to scheduled appointment time. If you have to cancel your appointment, reach out immediately to discuss rescheduling options.
